Three people shot, one killed between Indio and Coachella
Three people were shot and one of them died late Thursday night in a neighborhood between Indio and Coachella, the sheriff's department said. No arrests have been announced.
Deputies responded to a call of shots fired near the 84-000 block of Lingayan Avenue close to midnight and later learned two gunshot victims were dropped off at a local hospital.
One victim, an "unidentified male," died from his injuries, the sheriff's department said in a press release Friday. The other victim remains in critical condition.
A third person being treated for a gunshot wound at a different local hospital was also linked to the shooting and remains in stable condition.
