Keegan-Michael Key to Host NFL Honors Awards

The NFL Honors are just around the corner, and Emmy-winning actor, Keegan-Michael Key, will return as host of the awards show.

Key, 52, previously hosted the show in 2017 and 2021, and now he's getting ready to celebrate the best and brightest of the NFL for a third time.

The 2024 NFL Honors, presented by Invisalign, take place on Feb. 8 at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, four days before the Super Bowl. The primetime special, featuring player appearances and performances, will air live at 9 p.m. ET on the CBS Television Network and NFL Network and stream on Paramount+ and NFL+.

The NFL Honors first debuted in 2012, and previous hosts include Kelly Clarkson, Steve Harvey and Alec Baldwin.

A variety of categories will recognize the NFL's biggest stars in Las Vegas, and the show will announce the recipient of the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, presented by Nationwide and the newest Pro Football Hall of Fame Class the week leading up to the Super Bowl.

The Walter Payton Man of the Year Award is given to an NFL player who shows "his excellence on and off the field," according to the league.

During the 2022 NFL season, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was honored with the award for his charity foundation work centered on cancer research, which he started in honor of his mother, and suicide prevention, in his brother's memory.

With Key returning to his role as host, he and the NFL enjoy a full circle moment this season, as he appeared in the league's season kickoff promo, "You Can't Make This Stuff Up" in September.

Key's latest role is alongside Timothée Chalamet in the Warner Bros. film Wonka, and he'll soon be seen in the animated feature Migration.

Last year's edition of the NFL Honors was hosted by Clarkson, who showed out for her Dallas Cowboys in a gown inspired by their jersey and drew laughs for a remix of her hit song "Since U Been Gone," which included a dig at retired star Tom Brady's thirst trap photo.
