Set during the time of ancient Rome, Those About to Die is an epic sword-and-sandal series about gladiators, emperors, and ordinary Roman citizens. It focuses on the gladiatorial games and their overall impact on the Roman society. Oscar-winner Anthony Hopkins stars in the series as Emperor Vespasian, who ruled the Roman Empire from 69 to 79 AD until his death. All 10 episodes of season 1 will come out as a block on July 18.
Besides Hopkins, the cast of Those About to Die includes Tom Hughes as Titus Flavianus, and Sara Martins as Cala. Additionally, Dimitri Leonidas as Scorpus, Gabriella Pession as Antonia, and Jojo Macari as Domitian are also part of the cast.
