'Thor: Love And Thunder' Fan Art Gives First Look At What Female Thor Could Look Like

Fans are psyched to see Natalie Portman as The Mighty Thor.

An Explosive Comic Con Panel

Marvel really brought out the big guns for their San Diego Comic Con panel this year, announcing a huge list of new television shows and films. One of the most exciting announcements was information about the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.

Bringing Back Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman, who appeared in the first two Thor films as scientists Jane Foster, would be returning for the fourth film in the franchise, with a catch: Jane Foster would become the Mighty Thor.

This storyline is based on a recent run of comics that proved to be a very popular direction for the character. In writer and director Taika Waititi's hands, this is sure to be a refreshing change of pace.

Fan Response Has Been Largely Positive

While there were always going to be angry fanboys at the inclusion of more women in the MCU, most people on social media were thrilled at the prospect of Portman as the Mighty Thor and were quick to point out that Jane Foster wielding Mjolnir was 100% canon in the comics. Find something else to whine about, boys!

Amazing Fan Art

Finalgirl.edits on Instagram created some amazing fan art of Portman's Thor: Love and Thunder potential look. We won't see the film until 2021, so hopefully this kind of incredible fan-created images will continue to tide us over until then.
