Thom Yorke Leaves Trail of Cryptic Tweets

Is new music on the way?

This week, Thom Yorke has been leaving a string of cryptic tweets in the early hours of the morning. Today, he added a mysterious piece of artwork to the trail. Check it all out below. The unusual activity has sparked rumors of incoming music from Yorke, who began debuting new songs—including “I’m a Very Rude Person”—last year. Yorke also scored the forthcoming Suspiria remake, expected to open this year. Pitchfork has emailed Yorke and Radiohead’s representatives for comment. The artwork previously appeared with a lyric from Radiohead’s “Nude” in a 2006 Stanley Donwood exhibition, according to Citizen Insane (via Reddit).

In early February, Yorke teamed up again with rag & bone, contributing an original soundtrack to the fashion brand’s short film Why Can’t We Get Along. Back in November, Yorke’s solo records—2006’s The Eraser and 2014’s Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes—as well as his 2013 Atoms for Peace album, AMOK, appeared on Spotify for the first time. Radiohead, meanwhile, announced a North American tour this week.
