‘So You Think You Can Dance’ winner odds (week 7): Will one of the lovebirds, Anthony or Dakayla, win season 18?

There are six “So You Think You Can Dance” finalists left going into this week’s seventh episode of season 18, “Challenge #3: Movies.” But judging from this season thus far, who looks like they’re in it to win the whole competition? “SYTYCD” fans have been making their predictions here in our predictions center every week since the top 10 were announced. Those predictions are combined to generate our official racetrack odds. Here’s where we think the competition currently stands:

1. Easton Magliarditi — 11/5 odds (same position as last week)

As you can see, Easton Magliarditi is the favorite to claim the grand prize, as he has been every week since our predictions have been open. This is despite the fact that in “Challenge #1: Music Videos,” the judges thought he got a little lost in the background of his team’s hip-hop routine. He wound up in the bottom four and had to dance for his life to stay in the competition. He passed that test, though, and he made it safely through “Challenge #2: Broadway,” so perhaps he has overcome those initial jitters.

Magliarditi’s lead on our racetrack is narrow, however. Anthony Curley is right behind him. During the auditions rounds, Curley looked like an early front-runner to win the whole competition, according to judge Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who remarkably had trouble coming up with anything critical to say to him. But Curley too spent a week in the bottom four: he was forced to dance a solo to survive in “Broadway.” So was Dakayla Wilson, who rounds out our top three. Curley and Wilson both survived that close call. That means they get to continue in the competition and that their budding showmance gets to continue.

What’s perhaps surprising about our odds is that there are three dancers who after two challenges have not been at the bottom at all yet — Mariyah Hawkins, Madison Alvarado and Jaylin Sanders — but despite their consistency so far, they’re the bottom three dancers in our odds. We’ll see what happens tonight, though. Maybe everyone will get a turn at the bottom before all is said and done, or maybe one of these underdogs will establish themselves as the new dancer to beat.
