Santa Fe | 7 a.m.-noon| Also runs 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at the JCPenny parking lot, Pueblo Mall, 3429 Dillion Drive | Locally grown fresh produce, handmade goods, cottage foods and specialty items. The market accepts and encourages payments through SNAP/EBT cards, Double Up Food Bucks, the WICFarmers Market Nutrition Program and Centura's Fresh to Flourish produce prescription program.

Jeffrey Dallet concert at the Analogue

216 N. Main St. | 7-9 p.m. | Denver musician Jeffrey Dallet will perform a mix of rock and folk music. His unique style of songwriting blends storytelling, social commentary and tales of lost love. The event is free.

Deadline for A Caring Pregnancy Center fundraising banquet

Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main St. | 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 is the event, Aug. 25 is deadline for tickets | RSVP via email at office@acpcpueblo.org or call 719-544-9321. Public speaker at activist Seth Gruber is keynote speaker. Cost is $60 per person.

Art Class for Veterans at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

210 N. Santa Fe | 2-3:30 p.m. | The community art class for veterans is sponsored by the arts center and Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center. The class will help students develop self-awareness and explore emotions through artistic expression in a safe and welcoming environment. The Martini Shot Summer Concert in Pueblo West

Civic Center Park, 61 E. Civic Center Plaza | 4-9:30 p.m. | The Martini Shot will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. performing rock 'n roll originals and covers. The event will include a beer garden, kids activities and carnival games, food trucks, and extended splash pad hours from 4-6 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults or $5 for children ages 6 to 12, while children 5 and younger are admitted free.

Southern Colorado Fashion Show at Blo Back Gallery

131 Spring St. | 6-10 p.m. | The colorful fashion extravaganza will feature local fashion designers, artists and performers. There will be food and refreshments, shopping, art vendors and a DJ after party. Cost ranges from $10 to $45. Tickets are available at southerncoloradofashion.com.

Free Movie in the Park at City Park

800 Goodnight Ave. | Pre-movie activities start at 6:30 p.m., movie at dusk | The Lorax, rated PG will be shown on the big screen near The Rides at City Park and the playground. Bring the whole family and a blanket or chair to sit on. There will be concessions and food trucks on site to purchase something to eat.

Visitors' Center, South Marina Road | 7:30 p.m. | The Southern Colorado Astronomical Society Club event will feature a slide presentation at the Visitor Center by the south shore marina then move to the parking lots for stargazing telescope viewing. Park passes are not needed.

Sunday, Aug. 27

Breakfast fundraiser at Shrine of St. Therese

300 Goodnight Ave. | 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | The Knights of Columbus fundraiser will feature country fried potatoes, eggs (fried or scrambled,) beans, tortillas, red or green chili, pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice. Cost is $8 and take-out is available. Tamales are also available to purchase as an add-on, or for take-out.

Wednesday, Aug. 30

Pueblo Chemical Depot commemoration at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main St. | 2-4 p.m. | The event will feature and 90-minute program and reception marking the completion of the destruction of the entire chemical weapons stockpile in Colorado, stored since the 1950s at the Pueblo Chemical Depot. The event includes musical performances by the Fort Carson 4th Infantry Division Band and Pueblo County High Voices. Program will include recognition of past and present workforce members, the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program, state officials, and other partner groups. The event is free and open to the public.

Deadline for Southern Colorado Women on Target instructional clinic

Cactus Flats Shooting Range, Penrose | Training runs 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 9 | Deadline to sign up for the training is Aug. 31 | Training covers handgun, rifle, shotgun and archery. First Friday Art Walk at Steel City Art Works

216 S. Union | 5-8 p.m. | Opening reception for "There's a Chile in the Air" art exhibit and the "Uban Sketchers of Pueblo" display. Complimentary refreshments will be served. The shows will run through the month. The gallery is open free to the public Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

'Transcending Duality' at Pueblo Heritage Museum

201 W. B St. | 5-8 p.m. | The collaborative art exhibition features the visionary works of artists Deadhand and L. Savas inviting viewers to contemplate the synthesis of contrasting elements and to explore the unity within diversity. Both artists will be present for the opening. The show will run through Sept. 30.

First Friday Art Opening at Liminal Space Gallery

107 S. Grand Ave. | 5-8 p.m. | The Pueblo Arts Alliance event will feature collaborative works of members and friends of the Creative Consortium of Pueblo. The goal is to help provide financial support as well as draw attention to the consortium. Complimentary refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres will be served, plus visitors can partake of the Van Gogh Van free shuttle.

131 Spring St. | 6-9 p.m. | The show will feature Sarah Stanifer's, "Sculpting Self-Love: Clay Bodies Abstracted” and Jim Richerson´s installation, "ARTEOLOGY: A Walk Through the Pandemic." Richerson will give an artist's talk at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2. The show runs through Sept. 22.

'Tradiciones Sagradas' opening at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

210 N. Santa Fe | 4-6 p.m. | The intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail on Santos and retablo artworks will showcase layers of symbolism, allowing for multi-dimensional interpretations that transcend the surface level. Through the interplay of colors, patterns, and forms, artists communicate profound narratives of creation, transformation, and the cyclical nature of existence. The exhibit runs through Jan. 14. Cost is free during First Friday Art Walk. Regular admission is $10 for adults, or $8 for children, military or seniors 65 or older.

Monday, Sept. 4

Pups in the Pool at City Park Pool

221 S. Parkside Lane | Sessions run 9-11 am. and noon-2 p.m. | Cost is $5 per dog. Bring your favorite four-legged pal for a dip and enjoy some good family fun. Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated. Small dogs will use the wading pool. Owners are welcome to bring dog toys.

Closing Day for The Rides at City Park

3425 Nuckolls Ave. | 5-9 p.m. | Bring the family for the last day of the season. Tickets are 25 cents each.

Wednesday, Sept. 6

Ladies Night at Flip a Coin Arcade Bar

223 S. Union Ave. | 6:30-9 p.m. | The women's only pinball tournament is sponsored by Voodoo Ranger.
