Wednesday, June 8
Virtual forum for Colorado's 3rd Congressional District Primary Candidates, Zoom and Facebook Live | Candidates Lauren Boebert and Don Coram of the Republican Party, and Adam Frisch, Sol Sandoval and Alec Walker of the Democratic Party will respond to questions on a range of topics important to voters in Congressional District 3, which includes Pueblo. Sponsored by the League of Women Voters, whose mission is to empower voters to participate in democracy, the virtual forum runs from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. No need to register ahead of time. Just go to www.lwvcolorado.org/cd3forum and tune in via Zoom or Facebook.
Friday, June 10
“Good Grief!” Kids Camp, Royal Gorge Bridge, 4218 County Road 3A, Cañon City | The first of Sangre de Cristo Community Care’s Bereavement Services' camps for kids dealing with grief will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Royal Gorge. “Good Grief!” camps allow children to share their story with other children who have also lost a loved one, in an educational setting where they learn coping skills. Children participate in fun-filled activities such as tug of war, parachute team building and games. Space is limited. Kids camp is for children ages 4 to 14 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. After Cañon City on June 10, the camp will be in:

Shakespeare in the Sangres, Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts, 116 N. Second St., Westcliffe | Enjoy an evening of Shakespeare in an outdoor amphitheater, watching the sun set over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the dark-sky community of Westcliffe, about an hour west of Pueblo. The festival kicks off with a 3-day run of "Twelfth Night," starting at 6 p.m. Friday. Adults are $20; students 18 and younger and active military are $15; children 12 and younger are $5. Saturday, June 11
Sip 'n' Plant Brunch, Pueblo Chile Growers Association, Peppe's @ Milberger Farms, 28570 US-50 BUS | Enjoy brunch while getting tips and tricks from Pueblo chile experts and pot your very own Pueblo chile plant. $50 per person includes plants, pot and soil, light brunch menu with a mimosas and Bloody Mary bar. Superheroes at The Rides at City Park, 3425 Nuckolls Ave | Come dressed as your favorite superhero and take selfies with the superheroes who hang out at The Rides at City Park. This is one of the best deals in Pueblo — tickets cost 25 cents each. Adults need two tickets to ride and kids need one. Open 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Movies on the Riverwalk, Confluence Plaza, Historic Arkansas Riverwalk | Bring the family to see "Frozen II." The show will begin at dusk, between 8 and 9 p.m., weather permitting. Free. Sponsored by Pueblo Toyota.
Monday, June 13
Thunderwolves women's basketball youth camps, Massari Arena, CSU Pueblo | The women's hoops team at CSU Pueblo is hosting three-day youth camps for 1st to 5th graders, from 9 a.m. -12 p.m., and 6th to 8th graders from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Register by midnight June 12th at www.packwomensbasketballcamps.com. Fire Fit Kids, 2201 Lake Ave. | Pueblo Fire Department's monthly Fire Fit Kids night will include a presentation on the importance of reading with kids from EPIC Pueblo and the popular firefighter obstacle course and fire station tour. Saturday, June 18
Juneteenth Organization of Pueblo, Ray Aguilera Park swimming pool, 843 W Northern Ave | The Juneteenth Organization of Pueblo holds its 44th annual freedom celebration. The theme this year is fathers and freedom. There will be live music, a DJ, food trucks, other vendors, community resources and more. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friends of the Arkansas River Summer Solstice Festival, Arkansas River Trail | The Pueblo Archaeological and Historical Society will have a booth and wants you to bring your archeological finds to show their volunteers and let them identify that special rock, piece of history, or object you've been wondering about. There will also be displays and information about regional archaeology and activities. The free event starts at the new pedestrian bridge downstream from the 4th Street Bridge and Pillar Park on the bike trail. PAHS booth will be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
