Bands on the Beach

7 p.m. Tuesday, July 11. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Pensacola Beach's popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, Bands on the Beach delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Southern Breeze. Palafox St. In anticipation for the upcoming Bastille Day celebration, Jackson’s Steakhouse is proud to present the 14th annual wine and food tasting, “Vive la France.” Bastille Day is the French national holiday, la Fête du 14 juillet. It commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, an act that led to the conclusion of the French Revolution and the beginning of French independence. With the day serving as the inspiration for the tasting, Jean Pierre N’Dione has hand selected four French wines to complement a selection of classic French dishes as prepared by Chef Irv Miller. Cinemas in the Sand

Sunset Friday, July 14. Gulfside Pavilion, 20 Casino Beach Blvd., Pensacola Beach. Pack up your beach chairs and a blanket, and dig your toes in the sugar-white sand while watching classic family movies on Pensacola Beach. The Santa Rosa Island Authority invites families and kids, young and old, to its newest event – Cinemas in the Sand movie nights on Pensacola Beach. This week features The Sandlot. Free. ‘Southern Storytellers’ film screening and writers’ round

5:30 p.m. Friday, July 14. Voices of Pensacola Multicultural Center, 117 E. Government St. In advance of the series premiere of PBS’ Southern Storytellers, WSRE PBS will host a free preview screening and writers’ round event starting with a reception. Following the half-hour film preview, local artists from the Pensacola Songwriter Rounds Series — Greg Bond, Katie Dineen, Faithe Franklin and Devan Sean — will share songs they have written, performing in the round. Man Overboard Murder Mystery Dinner Show

Step aboard this luxurious celebrity cruise and meet the crew. Don't worry, it won't be a three-hour tour exactly, but when someone winds up dead, it will be up to the audience and the detective to solve this crime. Beware, we're in some deep waters now. $65. O’Riley’s Irish Pub 10 Year Anniversary

10 a.m Saturday, July 15. O'Riley's Irish Pub, 321 S. Palafox St. O’Riley’s Irish Pub will celebrate its 10th year in operation during the bar’s Shark Week promotion. The featured cocktail of the event is the Shark Attack Cocktail for $7. A live DJ will play from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The festivities will include a birthday cake and a balloon drop at midnight. The day features numerous water slide bounce houses, water obstacle courses, slip and slides, a dunk tank, corn hole, triple play sports games, a watermelon eating competition and fun for the entire family. Wristbands will be issued at entrance to enjoy all slides/bounce houses all day. $15 with a wristband. $5 without a wristband. $10 for kids 17 and younger with a wristband. Saenger Summer Movie Series

7 p.m. Saturday, July 15. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. This week’s Saenger Summer Movie Series feature will be The Jerk. The 1979 American comedy film was directed by Carl Reiner and written by Steve Martin, Carl Gottlieb, and Michael Elias. This was Martin's first starring role in a feature film. Blues on the Bay

6 p.m. Sunday, July 16. Community Maritime Park Hunter Amphitheater, 301 W. Main St. This free concert series is one of the most popular events for locals and visitors to spend the final hours of their weekend enjoying great music with family and friends in a great atmosphere. Concert spectators are invited to bring coolers and lawn chairs. Guests of all ages are encouraged to enjoy the cool breeze of the bay while listening and dancing to some of the region's best musical talent. This week features The Blenders.
