Join them as they pull out all of the games and cleverness at their disposal to get Dad off that bean bag. "Bluey’s Big Play" is a brand-new theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children’s television series, with an original story by Bluey creator, Joe Brumm, and new music by Bluey composer, Joff Bush. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, Bands on the Beach delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Wester. Cinemas in the Sand

Sunset Friday, July 28. Gulfside Pavilion, 20 Casino Beach Blvd., Pensacola Beach. Pack up your beach chairs and a blanket, and dig your toes in the sugar-white sand while watching classic family movies on Pensacola Beach. The Santa Rosa Island Authority invites families and kids, young and old, to its newest event – Cinemas in the Sand movie nights on Pensacola Beach. This week features "Moana." Free. Six with Fix! Wine Tasting & Burger Cookout

5 p.m. Friday, July 28. Seville Quarter, 130 E. 6 p.m. Friday, July 28. Community Maritime Park, 301 W. Main St. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to spread out on the lawn to watch a family-friendly movie under the stars. Concessions from local food truck vendors will be available for purchase, and outside food is also welcome. Pets and glass bottles are prohibited at the event. This week’s movie is "Strange World." JGBCB - Jerry Garcia Band Cover Band

Palafox St. Formed in Athens, Georgia, in 2012, JGBCB has been filling a hole in the Grateful Dead scene by offering up spirited covers of classic songs pulled exclusively from the repertoire of the Jerry Garcia Band, Garcia’s long-running side-project. The SpongeBob Musical

Ashmore Auditorium Ashmore Fine Arts Center, Building 8, 1000 College Blvd. Pensacola State College Summer High School Onstage Workshop presents a musical performed solely by area high school students. This year's show will be "The SpongeBob Musical," based on the hit Nickelodeon kids show adapted for the stage with songs written by David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, The Flaming Lips, Steven Tyler and Panic! Heat in the Street Fest

1 p.m. Saturday, July 29. The Handlebar, 319 N. Tarragona St. The Heat in the Street Fest is a music festival that will be using the street in front of the Handlebar as well as the Handlebar itself. The show will include live music with a variety of performances as well as food and drinks. Competitors can purchase entry tickets for $16. There are a limited number of spots available. All entrants must be 21 years of age or older. There will be multiple rounds, including a final round with a Bud Light draft drinking contest. Competitors can choose the specific flavor of their wings when they sign up. The Greatest Showcase

7 p.m. Saturday, July 29. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. First Dance Ballroom Studio presents the Greatest Showcase featuring a performance by Sasha Farber and local celebrities dancing to their favorite ballroom tunes. Farber, an Australian American professional dancer, began a dance career on Broadway as an original cast member of Burn the Floor. He began appearing in season 14 of Dancing with the Stars as a troupe member and his celebrity partners have included Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Kim Fields, Terra Jole, Simone Biles, Tonya Harding, Mary Lou Retton, Ally Brooke, Justina Machado, Suni Lee and Selma Blair. Blues on the Bay

6 p.m. Sunday, July 30. Community Maritime Park Hunter Amphitheater, 301 W. Main St. This free concert series is one of the most popular events for locals and visitors to spend the final hours of their weekend enjoying great music with family and friends in a great atmosphere. Concert spectators are invited to bring coolers and lawn chairs. Guests of all ages are encouraged to enjoy the cool breeze of the bay while listening and dancing to some of the region's best musical talent. This week features Not Quite Fab. America - Live in Concert

7 p.m. Sunday, July 30. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. When America, the perennial classic-rock favorite, hit the road in 2023, they’ll celebrate their 53rd Anniversary with their powerful performances.  Founding members, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell (along with former band mate, the late Dan Peek) met in high school in London in the late 1960s and quickly harmonized their way to the top of the charts on the strength of their signature song “A Horse With No Name.” Their best-known tunes, which also include “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway,” “Don’t Cross The River,” “Tin Man,” “Lonely People,” and “Sister Golden Hair” were cornerstones of 1970s Top 40 and FM rock radio.
