September 11th Memorial Stair Climb

7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11. Summerwind Resort, 8573 Gulf Blvd., Navarre Beach. The Navarre Beach Fire Department is hosting a Memorial Stair Climb for first responders of 9/11. Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. Adventures Unlimited Fall Foliage Zipline Tours

Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 30. Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center, 8974 Tomahawk Landing Road, Milton. The Beaches to Woodlands Tour is here and it brings a great time to enjoy the natural attractions at Adventures Unlimited located just north of in the Blackwater River State Forest. Enjoy the changing colors and excitement while doing one of the Canopy Zipline Tours. Whiskey & War Stories

5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12. Flora-Bama Tent Stage, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. Enjoy an intimate evening learning about the origins of the Horse Soldier, which began at ground zero during one of America's most historic moments. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from one of their own, receive a signed bottle of their straight bourbon whiskey, have a tasting of all three batches offered by Horse Soldier, appetizers, and an opportunity to purchase additional bottles. $75. Bands on the Beach

7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Pensacola Beach's popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, Bands on the Beach delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Rust & Gold. The Hiding Place The Musical

7 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 24 through Sept. 14. The REX Theatre, 18 N. Palafox St. "The Hiding Place relates the true story of Corrie ten Boom who, together with her sister, Betsie, and father, Casper, hid Jews in their home during the Nazi occupation of Holland in World War II. The dynamic cast is comprised of local performers of all ages, including Angel Award-winning singer Alisha Burke (Best Performing Artist, 2021) and singer and recording artist James Strasburg. Gallery Night

5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15. Downtown Pensacola. Gallery Night Pensacola is a nonprofit organization with a dedicated goal of inspiring culture, engagement, and the practice of arts of all types in an entertaining event for all ages and walks of life. Vettes At The Beach

8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. Casino Beach Parking Lot, Pensacola Beach. Vettes at the Beach has grown from 60 Corvettes in 2003 to over 300 and includes enthusiasts from all over the country. Many come every year for a day of friendship, food and cars. Attendees may also enjoy restaurants featuring fresh local seafood and a variety of other fare. Highway 87 Outdoor Market at Pik-itz

9 a.m. the first and third Saturday, Sept. 2 through Nov. 4. Pik-itz, 1922 State Road 87, Navarre. This monthly outdoor market takes place on the first and third Saturday during the Beaches to Woodlands Tour. Farm to table vendors will available along with various arts and crafts. Smokin' in the Square

The sweet smell of BBQ filled the air during a past Smokin' in the Square BBQ competition. This year's competition gets underway Saturday at S. Sylvester Catholic Church.

The Knights of Columbus of St. Sylvester presents their Smokin’ in the Square barbecue cookoff fundraiser featuring a day of food, family and fun. Sample tons of unique recipes made on the grill, vote for your favorite team and enjoy specialty food and drink vendors. There will be live music entertainment and activities for kids. Online: $10. Judiciary’s Unsung Heroes: James Meredith Trial Reenactment and Q&A

4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. UWF Center for Fine & Performing Arts, 11000 University Parkway. The University of West Florida Department of Criminology, Criminal Justice and Legal Studies will be collaborating with the Department of Theatre to put on a trial reenactment of the James Meredith trial. Meredith was represented by Constance Baker Motley and integrated into the University of Mississippi. The performance will include theatre students, legal studies students and local attorneys. Hispanic Heritage Month Gala

6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. Sanders Beach – Corinne Jones Resource Center, 913 S. "I" St. The Hispanic Heritage Month Gala includes a four-course meal, cultural presentations, guest speakers, live and DJ music, cash bar and dancing. A silent auction will be conducted to raise funds and awareness for Global Corner, an organization that teaches about people and cultures of the world to school aged children.
