First City Lights Festival

Wednesday, Nov. 8 through Saturday, Jan. 13. Downtown Pensacola. The Downtown Improvement Board hosts their annual holiday lighting ceremony First City Lights Festival. Throughout the holiday season attendees will experience music, shopping, food, art and nightlife under a canopy of white lights illuminating downtown Pensacola. More info: downtownpensacola.com.

Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. Christmas at The College

7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 18 and 19. Pensacola State College Ashmore Auditorium, 1000 College Blvd. This is one of the most favorite times for the Pensacola Civic Band and for the Pensacola music community. With a festive air and bounce all around, we surround ourselves with the sights and sounds of Christmas. From decorations throughout Downtown Pensacola to the buzz in all the stores, one constant is the music of the holiday season. Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Bingo

8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville is transforming their regular Monday night Bar Bingo into a Christmas extravaganza. They will be showing timeless Christmas shows on their big screens, playing favorite Christmas tunes, and judging the Ugliest Christmas sweater worn all while playing bingo. Palafox Market Holiday Edition

4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20. Plaza Ferdinand, East Government Street and 309 S. Palafox St. Shop your favorite local artisans and vendors at the second annual Palafox Market Holiday Edition, and watch downtown Pensacola light up with half a million white lights when Santa "flips the switch" at 5 p.m. More info: palafoxmarket.com.

THURSDAY

Beachmas: Christmas Movies on the Tiki Deck

4:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 21 through 23. Laguna's Beach Bar and Grill, 460 Pensacola Beach Blvd. Create magical moments this holiday season at Laguna’s. Gather family and friends and make this holiday season one to remember. The week features A Christmas Carol on Thursday, The Polar Express on Friday and The Grinch on Saturday. Glowtown Christmas Concert

Pensacola Winterfest

Various times Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Dec. 24. Based at the plazas around the Old County Courthouse at the corner of Palafox and Government streets in downtown Pensacola. Downtown comes alive with song and dance, arts and crafts during the holidays with Winterfest. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities including A Whoville Christmas Caper, the Polar Express Tour, The Grinch's Merry Match, the Scrooge Tour, Photos with the Grinch, and Photos with Santa. Jim Brickman A Joyful Christmas featuring Chrissy Metz

7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. Piano sensation Jim Brickman returns to Pensacola this season with his brand-new holiday show A Joyful Christmas. Brickman’s captivating Christmas concert experience dazzles audiences with his signature piano style and soothing vocals. Flora-Bama Make It To The Line Run/Walk

9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. Let's all ‘Make it to the Line’ just in time for Christmas at the Flora-Bama’s annual Christmas event. Run, jog, walk or crawl to the line during the Four-Mile Run/Walk and One-Mile Fun Run. The first 400 participants will receive run packets that include T-shirts and other goodies. Don't forget to make plans to hang out and enjoy all of the post-race fun. Complimentary food and beverages are available to participants immediately following the race. CCB Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23. Coastal County Brewing, 3041 E. Olive Road. Coastal County Brewing wants to see the tackiest of the tacky at their fourth annual Ugly Sweater Party. Organizers will set the stage for merriment with a line-up of seasonal brews. Immerse yourself with friends, food, and live music provided by Jason Crysell from 6 to 10 p.m. The ‘ugliest competition’ judging gets underway at 7:30 p.m. The most delightfully gaudy sweaters will go home with CCB Christmas treats.
