Jazz Pensacola’s Jazz Gumbo

Government St. The September Jazz Gumbo highlights Kathy Lyon as she sings music of America’s female vocalists, “Classics from the First Ladies of Jazz”, backed by musicians Mary Chavez (keys), Steve Douglas (bass), and Lawrence Young (drums). Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. Adventures Unlimited Fall Foliage Zipline Tours

Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 30. Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center, 8974 Tomahawk Landing Road, Milton. The Beaches to Woodlands Tour is here and it brings a great time to enjoy the natural attractions at Adventures Unlimited located just north of in the Blackwater River State Forest. Bands on the Beach

Jazz at Jackson’s

5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21. Jackson's Steakhouse, 400 S. Palafox St. Back by popular demand, the featured performers for the evening are vocalist Ellen Vinson accompanied by noted pianist Bobby van Deusen. Together, they will present a program featuring many jazz standards of songs by composers with enduring popularity highlighting the American Songbook. 8 a.m. Sunday to Saturday, Sept. 23 through Nov. 4. Holland Farms, 2055 Homer Holland Road, Milton. Enjoy a farm hayride that will take you around the farm and to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin of your choice. New activities for this year include a 3/4-mile train ride around the farm and a new innertube hill slide. Other activities include corn box, horse and regular swings, spider web, pirate ship, zip lines, pedal tractor cart racing, hill slides, rat racers, sand box and an eight-acre corn maze with kiddie maze. Pensacola ComposerFest XVIII

Pensacola State College, Ashmore Fine Arts Center, 1000 College Blvd. The Pensacola ComposerFest provides an opportunity to hear a variety new music written by contemporary composers, most of whom are local and will be attending the event. Eight of the 13 compositions at the concert will be world premieres.
