Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. TUESDAY

Glenn Miller Orchestra

7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6. National Naval Aviation Museum, 1750 Radford Blvd. The world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra is returning to the National Naval Aviation Museum for a live, in-person concert. The orchestra is one of the most sought-after big bands in the world. They play many of the original arrangements of the legendary Glenn Miller such as “Rhapsody in Blue,” “In the Mood,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “String of Pearls” and “Tuxedo Junction,” as well as modern big-band style selections. With its unique jazz sound, the orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest big bands of all time. Concertgoers are invited to attend a pre-show cocktail hour starting at 5:30 p.m. More info: navalaviationmuseum.org.

‘Gospel’ film screening

7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6. Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio at Pensacola State College, 1000 College Blvd. WSRE PBS will host a free preview screening of ‘Gospel’ – the new docuseries, from executive producer, host and writer Henry Louis Gates Jr., which explores the rich history of Black spirituality through sermon and song. Performances by the Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church Choir and the Voices of Victory Radio Choir will follow the film. In its entirety, the two-part, four-hour documentary will premiere on WSRE PBS at 8 p.m. Feb. 12 and 13, and a companion concert special will premiere at 8 p.m. Feb. 9. Free. Snowbird Hootenanny: Mardi Gras Mambo

11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8. Flora-Bama Lounge Tent Stage, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. Snowbirds are invited to the Flora-Bama Lounge, Package & Oyster Bar for a hoe-down on the line. Experience the essence of the Perdido Key area from Gulf Shores to Pensacola. There will be plenty of vendors giving away free goodies, along with music, activities and door prize drawings. Food will be provided by the chefs at the Flora-Bama, as well as one free beverage. $10. More info: visitperdido.com.

‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’

7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 through 18. Pensacola Little Theatre, 400 S. Jefferson St. Set in Swindon and London, the story is visually told through the mind of 15-year-old Christopher John Francis Boone, a mathematical genius with an unspecified autism spectrum disorder. The show is a mystery surrounding the death of Wellington, his neighbor’s dog, after Christopher finds the dog speared with a garden fork. Winner of the 2015 Tony for Best Play. FRIDAY

Krewe of Lafitte Illuminated Mardi Gras Parade

7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9. Downtown Pensacola. The only illuminated nighttime parade in Pensacola returns. The crowd can expect to be entertained with marching bands, lighted floats and great throws as the Krewe of Lafitte kicks off Pensacola Mardi Gras celebrations. More info: kreweoflafitte.com.

SATURDAY

Super Chili Bowl Cook-off

9 a.m., registration; noon, event; Saturday, Feb. 10. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. Flora-Bama is hosting the 30th annual Super Chili Bowl Cook-off from noon to 2 p.m. in the Flora-Bama Tent. The event will feature a “Best Decorated Booth Contest” as well as chili contest prizes for first, second and third place, and people’s choice. The real winner is Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society, who will receive 100% of the proceeds. More info: 850-492-0611 or florabama.com.

19th annual Woodstoke Festival

9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. Holley Hill Pottery, 7507 Buckeye Drive, Navarre. Celebrate handmade pottery and historic wood-fired kilns at the Woodstoke Festival. Attendees are welcome to join the line to view pieces and help to unload two large historical kilns. Art pieces from Gulf Coast Potters will be available for sale. The suggested $15 donation for the commemorative pottery bowl allows attendees to sample all the specialty seafood and chili dishes. Free. More info: kilnwalk.org.

Bud N' Boil Crawfish Boil

11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. O'Riley's Irish Pub, 321 S. Palafox St. O’Riley’s is hosting a crawfish boil before the Mardi Gras Parade. Attendees can purchase a plate of crawfish from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or while supplies last. Attendees above the age of 21 can receive a free Bud Light with the purchase of a plate. The featured cocktail during the event is the Hurricane Cocktail. Attendees are encouraged to stay at O’Riley’s Irish Pub after the event to watch the Mardi Gras Parade. For all ages. Oysters & Pints Fest

Noon Saturday, Feb. 10. St. Michaels Brewing Company, 2199 Florida State Road 87, Navarre. The inaugural Oysters & Pints Fest will feature the Grayson Bay Oyster Company selling half-dozen and dozen raw or grilled oysters from noon to 4 p.m. The Pensacola & Perdido Bay Estuary Program will be showing their short film, The Humble Oyster, at 5:30 p.m. More info: getrelaxing.com.

2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. Palafox and Garden streets in historic downtown Pensacola. The Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade is annually the largest and most extravagant parade in Pensacola. It features most of the krewes from the area, local organizations and companies and everything from marching bands to scout groups. Many entrants come from out of town as well. The parade has over 6,000 participants, and often over 100,000 spectators. Before, during and after the parade, organizers work to ensure an alcohol and tobacco-free children’s viewing area. Emerald Coast Victim Services Masquerade Ball

6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. Heritage Hall, 1882 Coast Court, Gulf Breeze. Enjoy a masquerade ball where elegance meets mystery, and guests indulge in a night of enchantment, laughter and dancing. The show features live music, a mask contest, appetizers, a cocktail bar and more. Enchanted Valentine’s Gala

2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. 5eleven Palafox Event Hosting, 511 S. Palafox St. Enjoy an enchanted afternoon with princesses and spider heroes from Enchanted Parties LLC. Delight in a royal meet and greet event, complete with photo opportunities and a small craft. For ages 18 and younger. Free for adults accompanying a child/children. Pensacola Beach/Krewe of Wrecks Mardi Gras Parade

2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. Along Via de Luna to Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach. Join the Krewe of Wrecks and see all the other krewes while catching some beads, toys and more. There will be a post parade party and awards ceremony at the Gulfside Pavilion after the parade. See and meet the float riders and learn who wins the coveted float awards. A dance will be presented by the Mystic Krewe of Nereids. Free. More info: kreweofwrecks.com.
