Things Are Getting Ugly Between Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan

They may have seemed like the world's most amicable exes, but as we know in celebrity world (and in the real world), divorces are never quite as simple as people think they're going to be.

Feelings get hurt, new partners can cause a strain on things, and when there are kids in the mix, custody battles turn into all out wars.

This seems to be the case for Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum, who seem to be dealing with some custody issues of their own.

Channing Blindsided Jenna By Filing Paperwork

It's been reported by multiple outlets that Channing completely blindsided Jenna by filing paper work in court over custody of their six-year-old daughter Everly.

And so, that easy, friendly, divorce between the former couple has taken a turn and driven into Haterville, with Channing as the mayor.

Apparently, he had some problems with their custody arrangement amid busy schedules, and asked a judge to "iron out the details."

It seems things have become a matter of "he said, she said," now and Jenna was stunned that Channing would do this without telling her. It seems the main conflict was holidays, like Halloween and Thanksgiving.

The Current Custody Arrangement Is Causing Conflict

Channing told E! News, "Over the past six months, it has become evident to me that a clear and specific holiday schedule is necessary and important."

He continued, "We both need to be able to make plans during our respective custodial times, particularly during the holidays, and having a set schedule will allow us to do that."

Sources have claimed that Channing wouldn't allow Jenna to change the schedule due to her work commitments, and he didn't allow her to FaceTime with their daughter while he had her.

A Court Hearing Has Been Set For Next Year

Channing has also asked that neither he or Jenna will be "authorized to use Everly's name, image or likeness for any paid or for-profit sponsorship, advertisement, campaign or partnership, including on any form of social media or any other media, without the prior written consent of the other party."

A court hearing has been set for January 28, 2020. What a way to start out in the new year. Will these two exes be able to work things out without any blood shed?

They've Both Moved On

The former couple, and now not-so-amicable exes, met in 2006 on the set of the movie Step Up in which they both starred in. They were married in 2009 and split in April 2018 before recently finalizing their divorce this year.

Channing is currently dating singer Jessie J, whom he reportedly got together with over a year ago, and Jenna is with Steven Kazee whom she is expecting a child with.

Let's hope these two can work things out, and the claws stay put away!
