Things to do: Easter bunny will be hopping over to Crossroads Library

Get a jump on Easter at the Guernsey County District Public Library Crossroads Branch as they host their third annual Easter egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photos and attendees are asked to bring their own bag or basket for egg collecting. The egg hunt times will be 11:15 a.m. for ages up to 2 and for ages 6 to 8. The egg hunt for ages 3 to 5 and 9 to 12 will be at 12:15 p.m. This is a free, family-friendly event. For more information about the egg hunt or how to utilize library services call 740-432-7536. Home, Garden, and Business Expo

Everything you need for your home and beyond can be found right here in Cambridge at the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce's Home, Garden and Business Expo. Check out the vendors as they fill the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center. More than 80 vendors attended the event in 2023, including Community Bank, Dutch Barn Builders, Bathfitters, Lashley Tractor, and Embassy of Cambridge. The back room of the civic center will be the hub for tourism and travel organizations from around the county. The expo is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is $3 for seniors, $5 for individuals or $10 for a family. Cash will be the only payment accepted. For more information or to become a participating vendor call 740-439-6688. Live bluegrass

Head to Guernsey County’s only opera house to hear some of the best bluegrass around. The Pennyroyal Opera House in Fairview presents Northwest Territory at 7 p.m. Friday. According to the press release, "The Northwest Territory Bluegrass Band has been performing its unique style of music since its first performance back in 1989. That style is inclusive of not only bluegrass music but also country, folk, and gospel. The choice of material is both traditional and modern and pleasing to a wide spectrum of audiences." The opening band will be the Red Brush Band. The kitchen and doors open at 5 p.m. The bluegrass show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door, and those 12 and under are free. One-act plays

Join the Cambridge Performing Arts Center as they partner with Shenandoah High School Drama Club to present a theatrical evening of one-act plays. Watch a performance of "After the Curtain Call" by Mikayla Shocking and "Victor" by Jeremy Robertson. Rumor has it the show will also feature a sneak peek of an upcoming show. Tickets for the Friday night event are $11.50 and can be purchased by visiting https://www.cambridgetheater.org. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m. The concession stand will be open. The Cambridge Performing Arts Center is located at 642 Wheeling Ave. in Cambridge.

Live music at the Brewhouse

The Guernsey Brewhouse will be hosting local rockers Flushed from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The Barnesville-based band has been performing throughout Ohio and beyond for years.
