Before Theresa Nist said "I do" to Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner, she had a bachelorette party.

Of course!

The bride-to-be, along with a few of her closest friends, had a bachelorette party that included Chippendale dancers and a boudoir photo shoot.

Lensed by Los Angeles-based photographer Jana Williams, Nist, 70, posed in lingerie from Cosabella alongside fellow Golden Bachelor contestants Susan Noles, Faith Martin, Sandra Mason and Ellen Goltzer.

Nist slipped into a sexy white lace number after telling her friends that she wanted to do the boudoir shoot because she felt so empowered stepping out of the limo on day one of her Golden Bachelor journey and she felt like this was the logical next step in that empowering journey — and she wanted them to be a part of it.

Each woman approached the shoot differently. While Goltzer started off shy (joking about the "chicken cutlet" bra inserts), she ended the day telling the cameras during the Golden Wedding special that she felt "really sexy."

Mason, on the other hand, felt "emotionally aroused" from the get-go.

Nist and Turner, 72, wed in a lavish ceremony in Palm Springs, California, on Thursday, which was broadcast live on ABC. Following their romance on The Golden Bachelor, the two walked down the aisle in front of friends and family, including several members of Bachelor Nation, including Wells AdamsBen HigginsJason and Molly MesnickDesiree and Chris Siegfried, and Trista and Ryan Sutter.

Nist wore a Badgley Mischka gown that she told PEOPLE is “traditional and modern,” but admitted is "really not what I envisioned I would wear.”

Theresa’s loved ones, including her daughter, Jen Woolston, as well as Noles helped her pick the gown.

“I was presented with these incredibly gorgeous gowns from Badgley Mischka, and I was overwhelmed,” Nist said. “I asked each one of these beautiful women to go pick their favorite. And then I picked three of mine, and I walked down the stairs with them. And when it was the dress, they unanimously thought this was the good gown. I think Susan was so proud because that's the one I picked out!”

Though Turner originally thought about wearing a blue suit for the wedding, “we talked one night, and we came to the conclusion that a black tux would look a little more formal,” he told PEOPLE. “And that's where I'm going, the black tux.”

He opted for the classic look for his big day, and his groomsmen matched his vibe. They all wore traditional black tuxes for the ceremony.

Turner dropped to one knee on the inaugural season finale of The Golden Bachelor last year, proposing to Nist. He handed her a golden rose — one that will never wilt — and told her he "can't live without" her.

He proposed with a princess-cut Neil Lane diamond ring, telling PEOPLE that it was the perfect choice for his bride-to-be for their second chance at love.

“The symbolism of it is so important,” Turner said. “It was just like, the minute she slipped it on, again, it was like, ‘Oh, my god, this is that joyful happiness that I want to feel, that I want everyone to see.’”
