The owners of multiple Covington restaurants have opened a new venture in the space formerly occupied by Commonwealth Bistro.

Mama's on Main opened March 4 by owners Emily Wolff and Paul Weckman, who also own Otto's, Frida 602, Larry's and the Standard. Commonwealth Bistro closed in early 2021.

The Italian red sauce restaurant is inspired by classic New York Italian restaurants, according to the Cincinnati Business Courier.

Menu items include: Eggplant parmesan with mozzarella, basil and red sauce, spaghetti and meatballs with pork and beef meatballs, red sauce and parmesan and cacio e pepe with parmesan and black pepper.
