It is a fall ritual to get lost in one of New Jersey's many corn mazes. Haunted attractions are fine for those looking for a fright-filled October, but some of us want a less-spooky, family-friendly fall outing.

We are the Garden State after all, and we have corn mazes galore. From a corn maze that's ten acres in size, to Reba McEntire and Barbie-themed mazes, you're bound to get a new experience with each place you visit.

Here's some of New Jersey's best corn mazes for you to visit this fall:

Von Thun Farms, Washington & Monmouth Junction

If you're a country music fan, then this is the place for you. More than 40 farms across the country are honoring Reba McEntire this fall in celebration of her upcoming lifestyle book "Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating and Dusting Off Your Boots," as well as her companion music album "Not That Fancy."

Von Thun Farms is featuring a corn maze that is shaped like the country music singer at both of their New Jersey locations. Coming in at more than five acres in size, it typically takes 35-45 minutes to complete.

Wightman Farms, Morristown

Known as Mazeland, Wightman Farms offers four different types of mazes: a giant corn maze, a hay bale maze, a rope maze and a paver maze. In addition to this, they also offer a rock labyrinth, hay bale pyramid and a hay bale tunnel.

Secor Farms, Mahwah

At Secor Farms, you can enjoy a scenic hayride around the pond, willow trees and fall decorations. After, you can stop at the farm's corn maze, hay maze and pumpkin patch.

Stony Hill Farms, Chester

This year's theme is "Buy Fresh, buy Local." Inside the 10-acre corn maze, you'll be met with misleading lanes and winding paths connected by bridges. The maze also includes games stationed along the way and will feature facts about the maze's theme. It can last anywhere from one hour to three hours.

In addition to the giant corn maze, the farm also has a mini corn maze, which is a smaller, one-acre version for younger visitors and first-timers. There's also a rope maze, where kids can navigate their way through nautical ropes to the deck of a pirate ship.

Ort Farms, Long Valley

In addition to a farm market that's open daily and a six-acre corn maze, Ort Farms offers hayrides, train rides, monster truck rides and an apple cannon. There are also farm animals, and visitors can pick their own apples, pumpkins, vegetables and flowers.

A six-acre corn maze, a hay maze, hayrides and a pick-your-own pumpkin patch are all activities offered at Middle Valley Farms.
