‘The Voice’ Semifinal Comes Down to Suspenseful Twitter Save

It was a suspenseful end to The Voice semifinals as three contestants had to battle it out for the final Instant Twitter Save. Earlier in the show, Adam Wakefield, Alisan Porter, and Hannah Huston all found out they were moving on to the finals. With five contestants left, it was time to cut two and have the final three sing for the Instant Save. Paxton Ingram and Shalyah Fearing were both sent home, which meant Mary Sarah, Bryan Bautista, and Laith Al-Saadi were left to sing for their Voice lives.

Mary Sarah kicked things off with a solid rendition of Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water,” and there must have been something in the water at the studio because she wasn’t the only one to crush her performance. Bryan Bautista nailed his version of “Adorn” by Miguel, and Laith let his guitar speak for him when he killed a solo during his performance of “All Along the Watchtower.”

Even though all three of them poured their hearts out on the stage, unfortunately, only one of them could move on to the finals. With the tension mounting, Carson Daly finally let everyone know that the fourth person moving on to the finale was Laith Al-Saadi.

The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
