‘The View’ Loses Yet Another Co-Host: Candace Cameron Bure to Exit

It’s been a rocky year for The View. The long-running show is losing yet another co-host: Candace Cameron Bure.

But the split is amicable, and on the Dec. 8 episode, she explained that she simply has too much on her plate: “Before I started The View, I had already had my commitments to Fuller House, my work with the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark movies and mysteries … and the commute of going West Coast to East Coast every single week for me has been tough on me, and hard for my family as well.”

Cameron Bure, who has three children with her husband, former NHL player Valeri Bure, hasn’t solidified a departure date. She is leaving after co-hosting for two seasons, since July 2015. She mentioned the Fuller House reboot as one of the reasons for her departure. Coincidentally, two of her co-stars, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, were booked on today’s episode of The View.

Cameron Bure’s relatively brief tenure on the show continues a trend this year. In June, Michelle Collins left after only a year. And in October, Raven-Symoné announced that she too would be leaving at the end of the year.

Like Cameron Bure, Raven-Symoné grew up a child star, featured on That’s So Raven. And her decision to leaveThe View mirrored Cameron Bure’s reason: Raven-Symoné is working on a reboot too, a spinoff tentatively titled That’s So Raven 2.
