The 3 Han Solo Contenders in Their Most Han Solo-ish Moments

We are now closer to meeting our new Han Solo. The Hollywood Reporter said there are three final contenders to play a younger version of the Harrison Ford character. Jack Reynor, Taron Egerton, and Alden Ehrenreich are the actors whom directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are considering to fill the shoes. So we’re going to show you them at their most Han-ish.

You don’t know Jack! It’s something you might say about Mr. Reynor: So far his biggest role has been Shane in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Han had to escape the Imperial Navy in The Empire Strikes Back. Reynor knows a thing about escaping danger himself — he had an extended chase sequence in Transformers.

Then there’s Taron Egerton. He’s a relative newcomer but has already starred in Eddie the Eagle and Kingsman: The Secret Service. Han once had to shoot his way out of some tight corridors. Egerton has proved he’s capable of that feat — a long sequence in Kingsman features him impossibly avoiding gunshots from enemies in narrow spaces, much like Han and the gang in A New Hope.

Last but not least: Alden Ehrenreich. He recently stole scenes in the new Coen brothers Hollywood sendup, Hail, Caesar! Han was always the funniest Star Wars character, and Alden knows about blending action and comedy as is evident from his portrayal of Hobie Doyle, the singing cowboy.

Variety did mention that Jack O’Connell and Blake Jenner are also still being considered, but the three we covered seem to be the favorites. Who do you think should play Han?
