This 'Revenant' Star Looks Just Like a 'Toy Story' Character and He Knows It
The Revenant was a good film. It had great performances, beautifully filmed scenes, and a wonderful score. It’s just too bad it’s all overshadowed by the fact that one of the actors looks exactly like a character from Toy Story.
Will Poulter, who plays Bridger, looks just like Sid. You know, that menace of a next-door-neighbor kid who nearly destroyed Buzz and Woody in the first Toy Story. The similarity is so strong it apparently shut down a woman’s brain. While on The Jonathan Ross Show, Poulter told Ross, “The weirdest interaction I’ve ever had with anyone who’s been kind enough to recognize me and say nice things was someone who thought I was Sid from Toy Story.”
Poulter continued, “This lady stopped me in the street, and she went, ‘Oh my god. Oh my god. I’m so excited to meet you. I love your work.’ And I was like, ‘Really? OK. Thank you very much.’ And it was my first time in America and one of the earliest recognitions I’ve ever had.” Poulter has been in such movies as We’re the Millers and The Maze Runner, but, alas, he was recognized for something else. “She goes, ‘Toy Story is unbelievable,’” Poulter relayed to a laughing audience.
Fortunately for this confused fan, real-world Sid is way nicer than animated-world Sid. “I didn’t want to let her down,” Poulter said. “And I think there was a small part of my kind of 15-year-old self that was kind of excited about being recognized. So I think I just sort of posed for the photo, and she went on her way.”
