'The People v. OJ Simpson': Ron Goldman's Sister Angry He Isn't Shown as a Hero

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson has received critical praise for its adaptation of the events surrounding the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. But Ron’s sister, Kim Goldman, was interviewed on Today and feels the show does not go far enough to accurately portray the reality of the crime. Ron’s death and role within the series is seemingly brushed over, despite the fact that the Goldman family was awarded $33.5 million in damages following the O.J. Simpson civil suit.

“What I think is unfortunately going to get lost in this is that my brother was doing a good deed and walked in on what we believe was a horrific crime, and he didn’t run” said Goldman. “And they don’t show that in this, and that really sucks. My brother could’ve run and saved his own life, but he stayed to help his friend. I want people to remember that my brother was a hero.” Kim authored a book titled Can’t Forgive: My 20-Year Battle With O.J. Simpson and has been vocal about making sure her brother isn’t forgotten. For now, she must endure this version of the story.
