'The Grinder' Sneak Peek: Maya Rudolph Gives Rob Lowe a Tough Pill to Swallow

Maya Rudolph is shaking things up on The Grinder. The Saturday Night Live funny lady’s four-episode arc on the Fox legal comedy continues this week, and we’ve got an exclusive sneak peek at her guest starring role in the new episode, “The Ties That Grind.”

Rudolph returns as Dean Sanderson’s (Rob Lowe) therapist, Jillian, in the episode, a doc who definitely has her work cut out for her as she tries to get to the root of Dean’s issues. Because, let’s face it, he’s got a lot of them. But the quick-thinking shrink soon discovers what we’ve known all along — that the TV lawyer’s lines between reality and his former television show persona are a little blurred.

Dr. Jillian is so sure, in fact, that she writes her new patient a prescription that could prove to be a really hard pill for him to swallow. Take a look at the clip to see what the good doc tells Dean he has to do.

In addition to the clip, we’ve got exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from the next three episodes of Rudolph’s Grinder arc. Check them out:
