The Flash Takes a Back Seat to Unlikely Hero

On Tuesday’s episode of The Flash, HR was in some hot water when Gypsy, a collector from Earth-19, came to collect him for unauthorized breach travel. Apparently, HR wasn’t supposed to leave his Earth the way he did, and Gypsy was sent to bring him back to face his punishment, which was death.

There was only one way out for HR, and that was a trial by combat. As HR was about to be taken away by Gypsy, Barry stopped them, but before he could say anything, Cisco stepped in and said, “I challenge you to trial by combat.” Barry disagreed and said that he was going to challenge Gypsy, but, apparently, because Cisco said it first, his challenge was the one that mattered.

After spending the next 24 hours training and worrying about the fight, Cisco and Gypsy finally started the trial. And thanks to Julian’s pointing out Gypsy’s weakness, Cisco was able to defeat her, saving his and HR’s lives.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
