‘The Daily Show’ Traveled to a Trump Rally and Not Much Has Changed

On Tuesday’s The Daily Show, correspondent Jordan Klepper traveled to a Donald Trump campaign rally. Though the 2016 presidential race ended in November, the fervor has not died down. One of the rally-goers said of the minority protesters present, “We’ve named these guys the black cockroach ninjas.”

Klepper quipped, “You don’t even try to hide the racism anymore.”

The rally-goer said, “What? You’re at a Trump rally, bro.”

President Trump also used the rally to promote the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. One man said, “I’m going to be honest, I don’t know that much about Trumpcare.”

He said that he preferred it to Obamacare because Trumpcare literally sounded better. The man added, “As long as it says Trump, you won’t be thinking about how bad it is.”

Klepper joked that that sentence should be Trump’s campaign slogan for 2020.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central.
