The Critics' Choice Awards in 2 Minutes

The 21st Annual Critics’ Choice Awards were held Sunday evening in Santa Monica, Calif. The three-hour awards show was hosted by T.J. Miller, with a little help from William Shatner. There were a lot of big winners, but some of the biggest included Amy Schumer, Jacob Tremblay, and Mayim Bialik.

Amy Schumer received the award for Best Actress in a Comedy, as well as a special MVP award. During her acceptance speeches she made fun of her sister, thanked the manager she had left, and mentioned the victims of the theater shooting that took place during a screening of her movie, Trainwreck.

Room star Jacob Tremblay stole everyone’s heart with his adorable acceptance speech for Best Young Actor. Even though he was too short to reach the microphone he managed to win over the audience with his humility. “I’d like to thank all the critics who voted for me, it must have been a superhard decision because of all the great actors in this category.”

Then time arrived for Mayim Bialik to win her first-ever major award! The actress took home Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on The Big Bang Theory, and it was particularly meaningful because her father had recently passed away.

All in all, it was another great night for award shows, especially at The Big Short table where everyone kept kissing each other.
