As evidenced by the debut trailer for The Conjuring 2, Wan’s follow-up will take its married-couple protagonists across the pond to England several years after the first movie. There, they’ll investigate the British variation of The Amityville Horror, via the plight of a young girl who’s suffering some sort of unholy possession by the specter of a not-very-nice 72-year-old man. As creepy as that is, the haunting may in fact just be a trap set to lure Ed into the clutches of the undead — who, it appears, will be manifesting themselves as tall, ghoulish nuns with a pesky habit of materializing out of thin air behind unsuspecting victims.
