'The Comedians' Sneak Peek: Billy and Josh Take Direction Well

In FX’s upcoming meta comedy The Comedians, Billy Crystal and Josh Gad play “Billy Crystal” and “Josh Gad,” two funny men from different generations paired together to star in a late night sketch show for FX, The Billy & Josh Show. The series, filmed mockumentary-style, will have its unofficial world premiere at SXSW on Sunday, when Crystal and Gad join exec producers Ben Wexler and Matt Nix to screen two episodes followed by a Q&A.

You, however, can watch the exclusive clip above now. It shows Billy butting heads with Billy & Josh's head writer-turned-director (Matt Oberg).

The Comedians premieres April 9 at 10 p.m. on FX. The SXSW screening and panel begins March 15 at 1 p.m. at the Vimeo Theater in Austin, Texas. FX Networks’ Fearless Factory hangout spot at SXSW will be open March 13-16.
