Do we find out what Red whispered to Kirk in the midseason finale, or get a final answer on whether or not Red really is Liz’s papa? For answers to those questions, you’ll just have to tune in to Thursday’s new episode of The Blacklist.

But we can tell you that fans of “Samararam” — our admittedly awkward couple nickname for everyone’s favorite Blacklist relationship, Samar (Mozhan Marno) and Aram (Amir Arison) – will be happy to know that there’s some major action on that front in the hour.

Whether they’ll be happy about what that action is — well … again, tune in.

Marno tells Yahoo TV she’s still surprised the duo has become a viewer favorite will-they-or-won’t-they potential pairing, but acknowledges the chemistry between the characters.

“I think [the writers] started to write to that a little bit,” says Marno, whose Samar finds herself in the middle of major personal and professional dramas in the episode. “I don’t know that they hired me and wrote my character thinking that anything was going to happen with [Aram]. I think that may have developed naturally. I think people like an odd couple, too: she’s the tough one; he’s the dorky one. Together, it is so sweet, right?

“I just think there’s something about that. Also, just that the gender roles are a little swapped. He’s the emotional one, and she’s the stoic one. It’s an unusual coupling that I think is fun to root for.”

The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
