The Beatles, Framed

Spectacular news, readers! This week, instead of humdrum contemporary stars, I’m featuring the second greatest rock group of all time, the Beatles! It’s super-duper good!

Everyone knows their story, of course. How they met in India, went on Monday Night Football, and kicked Pete Best out of the band. Then went on to conquer America in a brief but bloody campaign, and said the Bible was wrong.

Yes, it’s all historical fact. Oh, and they killed Stuart Sutcliffe, too. That’s what I heard, anyway.

Our video is one of the songs from their great 1965 album, Help. It’s a Paul McCartney composition called “Another Girl,” which he wrote in a bathroom in Tunisia (actually true.) At the time, McCartney was living with Jane Asher but seeing other women.

Said McCartney: “I remember John very much envying me. He said, ‘Well, if you go out with another girl, what does Jane think?’ and I said, ‘Well, I don’t care what she thinks, we’re not married. We’ve got a perfectly sensible relationship.’”

Paul McCartney’s had a pretty good life, I think we can all agree.

Please enjoy the video and our captions to the still pictures, which are, of course, very, very funny, and remember to tell friends and family about Framed, ‘cause you love life.
