'The Amazing Race' Sneak Peek: Climb Every Mountain
The Amazing Race scales new heights in this week’s episode, which sends the remaining teams into the French Alps, not just for a single challenge, but for the entire freakin’ leg. It’s a high-wire act of reality show showmanship, some of which actually takes place on a high wire. In this exclusive clip, racers can be seen traversing a tight rope several hundred feet up in the air with towering mountain walls above their heads and a sheer drop below. Their reactions to this challenge range from “Oh my God!” to “This is so super cool!” Or maybe they’re just talking about the temperature way up there?
What’s definitely not cool — well, for the racers involved anyway; it’s pretty cool to those of us watching from the comfort of our couches — is what happens towards the end of the clip. A gust of snowy wind blows up as Ashley, one-half of the Rooster Teeth team along with boyfriend Burnie, navigates her way back to the cliff wall, which proves just distracting enough for her to lose something of vital importance. And we don’t mean her lunch… although at those vertigo-inducing heights, who could blame her?
