On Monday, the 2023 Emmys finally happened... in 2024? After a five-month delay due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes in 2023, last year’s Emmy Awards have at long last been handed out. And the exciting night was certainly worth the wait. Beef star Ali Wong had an historic win, becoming the first Asian American to win an Emmy for Actress in a Limited Series. Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson took home the award for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series — the first Black woman to win in the category in over four decades. The Bear dominated the night, taking home 10 awards. Succession said goodbye to the Emmys with six wins. Pedro Pascal continued to play up the feud between him and Kieran Culkin, and multiple male co-stars shared celebratory kisses.
