The 5 Most Ridiculous Moments From ‘Sharknado: The 4th Awakens’

Syfy premiered the latest installment of its Sharknado franchise, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, on Sunday. The movie was every bit as ridiculous as its title.

In one moment, the hosts of the Today show explained the ever-evolving shark-based atmospheric event. Al Roker said the Sharknado turned into a Sandnado while traveling in Las Vegas but, “once the Sandnado hit the Hoover Dam, it picked up rocks in the desert to form what is now being dubbed a Bouldernado.”

Tara Reid was brought back from the previous movies. Though she was thought to be dead, she was now a form of Terminator-like robot human. To help her fight the Sharknado, she had a montage that included her pulling increasingly larger vehicles and showcasing the weapons that have replaced her hands.

David Hasselhoff was reunited with his Baywatch castmates Gena Lee Nolin and Alexandra Paul to fight the Sharknado. Nolin and Paul were even seen running in slow motion together, only to be simultaneously eaten by flying sharks.

Other cameos included Paul Shaffer, Wayne Newton, Dr. Drew Pinsky, and Stacey Dash, many of whom were brutally killed by the unforgiving Sharknado.
