Thanksgiving to go: 11 places in Bucks that will take the stress out of holiday cooking

Not in the mood to cook this Thanksgiving? No problem.

Bucks County restaurants and grocers can whip you up a feast to quiet even the fussiest family members this holiday. But, many are asking that you order as early as possible.

Here's a guide to help you get those orders in now so you can sit down with no worries on Thanksgiving.

McCaffrey's Food Market

With locations throughout Bucks, McCaffrey's offers a wide-ranging Thanksgiving menu for takeout, including complete meals for four to six or about to 12 to 14 guests. They range in cost from $100 to $200. The store also sells its complete dinner sides package and its 14- to 16-pound all-natural whole turkey complete with herbed bread stuffing and gravy.

There are plenty of baked goods and a la cart choices, too.

Orders can be placed at mccaffreys.com, by phone or in store. All orders must be in by Nov. 21. Stores close at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving and orders need to be picked up by noon.

The Buck Hotel, Feasterville

The Buck is offering a dinner for eight to 10 people for $365 complete with turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, traditional corn, rolls and butter, savory stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, apple sauce, and pumpkin and apple pie.

The Buck is also serving dinner family style for $74.95 a person and $36.95 for children. Call for reservations.

Caleb's American Kitchen, Lahaska

Caleb's offers individual roasted turkey dinners for $24, including fresh baked turkey breast, sage brioche stuffing, green beans, almonds with crispy onions, butternut squash, hominy, kale, mushroom succotash, smashed red bliss and celery root, cranberry relish (on side), turkey gravy (on side).

The restaurant also has sides in two sizes and offers gluten-free options, including Sweet Potato Hash with Chorizo, Cipollini Onions & Kale, Cider Braised Brussels Sprouts, Parsnips & Bacon, and Mushroom Stroganoff with Sweet Potato Noodles. They even offer pies and gravies and relish on the side.

Order online by Nov. 22. Pickup is Wednesday.

Lou's Farm Mart, Bensalem

Lou's offers single platter or a whole family dinner for the holiday. The store also has a wide variety of pies, including its caramel, apple walnut for $12.99 and fan favorite pecan for $14.99. They also do sugar-free pies.

The single dinner platter is $15.99 and includes air-fried turkey breast, homemade stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes and more.

The family dinner feeds 12 and includes the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, a pumpkin pie and more. Additional sides can be ordered.

Pick up is Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and the mart is closed Thursday.

Last day to order is Nov. 18.

Karlton Café, Quakertown

The café is offering a choice of entrée and four sides for $25 per person. The order includes ham or roasted turkey with gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing and corn bread.

Additional sides are available in small or large sizes with prices ranging from $10 to $50. Small sized sides serve 4-6 people and large serves 6-10 people.

There are no substitutions, or no minimum orders allowed.

Orders must be placed by Nov. 18. Pickup is on Nov. 24. They can be placed over the phone or online.

Nourish Kitchen & Catering, Perkasie

The catering company is making Thanksgiving easier with some seasonal dishes.

Thanksgiving dinner for 2-3 people is $23; it includes sliced turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. Grazing Box serves 2-4 or 4-6 people for $30 or $50; it includes an assortment of cheeses, meats, veggies, olives, fruit, crackers and spreads.

Other dishes are available for order, like broccoli, bacon and cheddar quiche for $12 and crustless for $14, sides for small and large groups, soups and sweets.

Customers place orders by phone between now and Nov. 17 at 3 p.m.

Jamie Hollander Gourmet Foods and Catering, New Hope

Jamie Hollander is offering a main course list that includes various turkey and ham options ranging from $8.99 to $18.99 per pound. They also have side dishes in small and large sizes at various prices, gravy and cranberry sauce, baked goods $12 each per half dozen and desserts ranging from $18.50 to $45.

Call to place orders. Order deadline is 5 p.m. on Nov. 19. Any orders taken after deadline are subject to availability and will be charged a 10% service fee.

There will be a limited selection of Thanksgiving specials will be available on Wednesday in the prepared foods case.

Orders must be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 24 at scheduled pick-up time. Pick up at store or request contactless local delivery for a fee.

Altomonte's Italian Market, Warminster and Doylestown

Altomote's Italian Market has a complete Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings to serve parties of all sizes. Meals for two people are $59.99, for four to six people $124.99 and 8-plus people $249.99.

The market also sells sides, desserts and sliced turkey by the pound. Fresh turkeys are also available.

Order online by Nov. 19. There is contactless curbside pick up at both locations.

Pineville Tavern, Pineville

The tavern has their traditional Thanksgiving dinner available to go. All meals come refrigerated with cooking instructions.

Dinners for five are $175 and includes choice of classic or southern style Thanksgiving menus. Both are complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, biscuits and the choice of two desserts and much more. Add-ons are available.

The tavern will also host Thanksgiving with a special menu. Reservations required. Call or book on OpenTable.

Lochel's Bakery, Hatboro

Lochel's is back this year with all the desserts and other treats to round out Thanksgiving dinner, but are encouraging that orders be placed early. The menu includes pumpkins cheesecakes, breakfast items, doughnuts, and roast turkey 3D pound cake, just to name a few.

The Restaurant at Bucks County Technical High School, Fairless Hills

Let the bakery and pastry arts students take care of desserts and breads this holiday season. The are offering apple crumb, pumpkin and apple caramel lattice pies for $10 and pecan pie for $13. Oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies are $6 for a dozen. Assorted breads and dinner rolls also a available.
