You don’t have to be a Cam’ron fan to be muttering “Oh Boy” after a recent appearance on CNN, when the veteran MC took questions about Sean “Diddy” Combs  and answered with one of the strangest major media interviews in recent memory.

Anchor Abby Phillip began the segment by asking for Cam’ron’s thoughts on surveillance footage from 2016, recently released, which shows Combs assaulting the recording artist Cassie. Cam’ron called the attack “egregious,” adding, “When I seen the video, yeah, I was kind of upset with it. Being that I know him — he’s not necessarily a friend — but yeah, I was upset when I seen it.”

And that’s when things got weird. When asked, “Did you recognize that kind of anger at all from your experiences [with Diddy]?” Cam’ron expressed irritation. “I seen him. What do you mean my ‘experiences’? I seen him, and I thought it was disgusting. I didn’t do a zoom-in to see if it was really him or nothing. But he admitted it was him, so, yeah, it was him.”

Regarding Diddy’s apology video, Cam’ron snapped, “He didn’t do nothing to me. You need to ask Cassie if she accepts the apology.” Phillip followed with a 2023 snippet of Cam’ron’s podcast. In that clip, Cam’ron discusses his early days in New York, and the business decision to go to “Biggie Smalls and not Bad Boy,” which Diddy had founded. Mase replied that he “knew Biggie would do right” by Cam’ron. Phillip wanted to know what concerns they had about Diddy at the time, asking, “Is there something known in the industry about how Diddy treated his artists?”

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how much you like a mess, Cam’ron had now lost interest. Instead of answering he question, he held up a bottle of his own Pink Horse Power sex supplement, which purports to “improve stamina and libido.” As he explained, “I’m gonna get some cheeks after this Horse Power joint.” His product plugged, he then made some vague allusions to Diddy and moved on to plugging his podcast, where, he said, “I might get some more information out of Mase.”

Phillip tried one more time to get the interview back on track, but Cam’ron was not only ready to leave, but to burn the bridges on his way out of town. “Who the talent agent for this joint?” he asked. “You think I be sitting around watching what Diddy do and all this? I didn’t know this was a Diddy joint that y’all invited me to.” To someone off-camera, he added, “Yo, who booked me for this joint?” Check out the whole train wreck below.
