‘Thank You, Goodnight’ Trailer: Jon Bon Jovi Docuseries Dives Deep Into Rocker’s Legacy

The retelling of Bon Jovi’s legacy is wanted dead or alive.

The iconic New Jersey-based band is at the center of four-part Hulu docuseries “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.” Billed as an “all access” account of the band’s rise to fame, the docuseries spans 40 years of rock ‘n roll history culminating in frontman Jon Bon Jovi’s vocal injury that throws the band’s touring future into question.

“Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story” joins the band in February 2022 and follows their real time journey with its fits and starts as they attempt to chart out what’s next. The series uses personal videos, unreleased early demos, original lyrics, and never-before-seen photos to capture Bon Jovi’s journey from Jersey Shore Clubs to the biggest stages on the planet. The docuseries is directed and executive produced by Emmy winner Gotham Chopra.

“Thank You, Goodnight” features interviews with Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Tico Torres, Richie Sambora, David Bryan, Phil X, John Shanks, Obie O’Brien, Everett Bradley, Doc McGee, Dorothea Bongiovi, Paul Korsilius, and Dean Grillo. Bon Jovi’s son Matt Bongiovi, who is married to “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown, also appears in the series.

The docuseries is also executive produced by Giselle Parets and Ameeth Sankaran for ROS, and it is produced and edited by Alex Trudeau Viriato.

Jon Bon Jovi has had his acting foray into Hollywood with an iconic one-episode “Sex and the City” guest appearance and a stint in ensemble rom-com “New Year’s Eve.” His music has also been featured in films like “Rock of Ages,” with Tom Cruise belting out “Wanted Dead or Alive” for the movie musical.

“Thank You, Goodnight” is part of the Hulu Spring slate which additionally has Season 5 of “The Kardashians,” buzzy “The Contestant” doc film, “Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told,” and “Vanderpump Villa” among the documentary offerings.

“Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story” premieres April 26 on Hulu. Check out the trailer below.
