Thabo Sefolosha is an unpolished shot creator, but skilled enough to hit any shot outside 15 feet, provided he doesn’t have to maneuver past a defender to take it. Every point is sacred for Sefolosha. Sefolosha’s value is strictly related to his perimeter defense. However, during a single sequence against the Utah Jazz, Sefolosha had a fleeting moment of offensive dementia and made his case for the 2018 Self-Defense First Team.

After getting ahead of the defense for what should have been an easy breakaway lay-up, Sefolosha didn’t just rim out or lay it in at a poor angle, he lost all muscle memory and flung it off the backboard. Okay, maybe, that one slipped.

Luckily, Sefolosha dusted himself off, stuck with the play and flared out to the short corner after Ricky Rubio corralled the offensive rebound. Unfortunately, Sefolosha, an above average 3-point shooter this season, completely botched the second attempt after receiving the kick-out and overshot the rim by a mile.
