Tesla unveils new Model 3 production line, investors upshift Harley-Davidson expectations, Apple wants to make it easier for 911 operators

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you today.

Tesla (TSLA) is showing off its latest production line – and it’s in a tent. Elon Musk tweeted out a picture this weekend, featuring a dual-motor, high performance Model 3. Musk says the line was built in just 3 weeks. It’s part of the company’s efforts to reach an ambitious goal of producing 5,000 Model 3s a week by the end of the month.

Harley-Davidson (HOG) is riding high – despite the growing trade war with China. Investors seem happy that the company won’t be hurt by the latest tariff moves. But Harley has warned that penalties on foreign steel and aluminum could eat into its bottom line. Harley is also cautioning the trade fight with Europe may result in fewer sales.

Apple (AAPL) wants to fix a big issue with cell phones – helping police find you in an emergency. It’s partnering with a startup called Rapid SOS to make it easier for 911 operators to pinpoint your location. The Wall Street Journal says, starting later this year, iPhone users who call 911 will have their location automatically sent to emergency call centers.

JetBlue (JBLU) may soon be getting some new competition. The industry news site Airline Weekly says – JetBlue founder David Neeleman is raising money to start a new low-cost carrier. Moxy Airways would be focused on secondary airports, and start service in 2020. It’s already reportedly ordered about 60 fuel efficient Bombardier jets.
