Teresa Giudice Responds to Backlash After Wearing Balenciaga Sweater in Instagram Post

Teresa Giudice is responding to social media backlash she faced for wearing Balenciaga on a recent trip to Paris.
“I was embarrassed — I did not know,” The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member shared on a December 7 episode of her PodcastOne show, Namaste B$tches, while discussing the recent controversy surrounding the brand after two problematic ad campaigns.
Teresa explained that while she and her husband Luis "Louie" Ruelas were vacationing overseas, they "checked out of social media completely," causing her to be unaware of the fashion house coming under fire and the subsequent criticism from her followers.
“I brought a sweater — I totally forgot I had it from last year, I never wore it — and I brought it because I heard it was chilly there in Paris, and it was a great sweater to wear during the day,” the mom of four explained to her listeners about a since-deleted snap of herself in the designer garment.
Teresa then revealed that it was Louie who began to realize something was up after seeing negative comments on her social media pages.
“I had no idea, but I guess Louie looked more into it, and then he took it down,” she shared. “He didn’t feel comfortable with it being up.”
