Tennessee wins 8 Great American Beer Festival medals, including these 3 in Nashville
One of the most prestigious competitions in the beer world has awarded eight medals to Tennessee breweries, with half going to beer-makers in Middle Tennesee.
Judges at the annual Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado, evaluated 9,298 beers spanning 99 beer categories across 175 beer styles. Their mission: to identify the three beers that best represent each category.
There's even a pumpkin beer category, in which a Nashville brewery won gold, good information for all your fall beer-quaffing needs.
