A familiar face has returned to Nashville.

The Tennessee Titans signed quarterback DeShone Kizer to their practice squad, the team announced Friday. The former second-round pick ended the 2020 season on the Titans' practice squad and was in training camp with the team before being waived in August, after a disappointing competition with backup Logan Woodside. Matt Barkley, who's now with the Panthers, had been added to the practice squad in his place.

Kizer joins Kevin Hogan as quarterbacks on Tennessee's practice squad. Woodside was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, so Kizer adds more depth at the position.

The Titans on Friday also placed tight end Austin Fort on the team's practice squad/COVID-19 list. Fort is the third Titan to land on the COVID-19 list since Monday, joining Woodside and linebacker/special teamer Joe Jones.
