Who Tennessee Titans' Derrick Henry says might be NFL's best running back may surprise you

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is as modest as he is talented.

When discussing with the media the Titans match up with the Indianapolis Colts Sunday (Fox, noon) Henry was asked specifically about Colts' running back Jonathan Taylor, who is ranked fourth in the NFL in rushing with 286 yards on 61 carries and has one touchdown.

Henry, in a roundabout way, said Taylor was a better back than he is when he said Taylor was, "One of the best running backs in the league if not the best. He's young and he's dominating the league at an early age and I think he'll be doing it for awhile."

Taylor led the NFL in rushing in 2021 with 1,811 yards on 332 carries and scored 18 touchdowns.

Henry, who broke a bone in his foot at Indianapolis last season on Oct. 31, had his best game of the season last week when he rushed for 85 yards on 20 carries and scored a touchdown and also had five catches for 58 yards against the Raiders.

Taylor had 71 rushing yards on 21 carries and 20 receiving yards on three catches in the Colts' 20-17 win over Kansas City last week.

"(Taylor) is exciting for the game and he's a big playmaker for (the Colts) and it's going to be a challenge for our defense to stop him," Henry said.
