‘Temptation Island’ Renewed for Season 2 at USA

USA has renewed its “Temptation Island” reboot for a second season, the network announced on Tuesday.

The reality dating series is set to return for an extended 12-episode second season that will film later this year. Mark L. Walberg will return as host.

The news comes as the first season of the reboot heads into its final run of episodes, with the finale to air next month.

A reboot of the 2001 Fox show, “Temptation Island” follows four unmarried couples as they travel to a romantic paradise, where they are split up and matched with 24 single men and women in search of love.

The most recent episode of the series pulled a 0.4 rating among adults under 50 and 905,000 total viewers, according to Nielsen’s live-plus-same-day numbers.

David Goldberg and Caroline Baumgard of Banijay Studios North America are executive producers on the series alongside Scott Jeffress.
