Tekashi 6ix9ine Takes Plea Deal in Cop Assault Case

He pled guilty to disorderly conduct after he allegedly “grabbed and squeezed” a police officer’s hand

Daniel Hernandez, aka Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, has taken a plea deal in a case that involved the alleged assault a police officer, The Blast reports and Pitchfork can confirm. According to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, Hernandez pled guilty to “disorderly conduct.” According to The Blast, the violation will not appear on his criminal record. Hernandez had been facing four misdemeanor charges stemming from the incident. Pitchfork has contacted representatives for 6ix9ine.

According to the Brooklyn D.A.’s Office, Hernandez has received a sentence of conditional discharge. The conditions include that Hernandez must stay out of trouble and not discuss the case on social media. According to The Blast, Hernandez faces 15 days in jail for violating the conditions.

Daniel Hernandez is currently on probation, stemming from a guilty plea for use of a child in a sex performance in 2015. According to The Blast, today’s plea deal will not violate his probation.

Today’s plea deal stems from a May 20, 2018 incident when Daniel Hernandez was charged with two misdemeanors after illegally parking in front of a fire hydrant in Brooklyn, New York. The next morning, at the police precinct, Hernandez was charged with five more crimes after he allegedly “grabbed and squeezed” a police officer’s hand. Those charges have been reduced to the disorderly conduct violation.
