HOLLAND — Teen actors will perform an adaptation of a classic children’s story over the next two weekends in Holland.

Holland Community Theatre has announced a teen production of “Honk! The Musical.” Performance dates are 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 3-5 and 10-12. There are two matinees at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 and 12. The theater is located at 50 W. Ninth St. in Holland.

Tickets are $12.50 each and can be purchased at thehollandcommunitytheatre.org/tickets or by calling the box office at 616-396-2021 from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and one hour prior to showtimes on weekends.

Tickets for opening night are $10 and an ice cream social reception will follow the performance.

The story centers around Ugly, who has a difficult time fitting in with his duckling brothers and sisters. Ugly embarks on a journey to discover himself and meets characters who teach him to love himself “warts and all."

“Honk sends out the wonderful message it's OK to be different," said the show's director Jim Taylor. “If we were all the same, life would be boring."
