"Teen Mom 2" alum Jenelle Evans officially ended her Instagram silence on Friday when she shared two photos of herself on her birthday. It was her first Instagram post since her October 31 statement about her decision to leave her estranged husband David Eason.
"'Sometimes you have to kind of die inside in order to rise from your own ashes and believe in yourself and love yourself to become a new person,'" she wrote in the caption and credited the quote to My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way.
Lots of fans swarmed the comments to wish her a happy birthday and comment on how great she looks.
"Good for you Jenelle! I'm proud of you and I'm so thrilled that you got your family and friends back in your life. Keep grinding girl you look happy for the first time in years," one wrote.
"Happy Birthday, Jenelle! You are radiant!! Best wishes for the next chapter in your life - may it be the best yet!" another said.
"It's a new start, go and show everyone sweetie. You do not need a man, be a independent woman first, love your self and some will then love you fully," someone else suggested.
So far, that is Evans' only actual post since breaking her silence, but on Sunday she did add another photo to her Instagram Story. In it, she's wearing a black t-shirt and adds a cat ears filter. She wrote on top of the image, "Who wants to help me wrap presents?"
In a lengthy statement on both Instagram and Twitter on Halloween, Evans detailed her difficult decision to leave Eason.
"The kids and I have moved away from David," Evans wrote. "Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that's what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I've filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together, but you'll hear from us again soon."
