"Teen Mom 2" star Chelsea Houska got very honest about her struggles with anxiety and panic attacks on the most recent reunion episode. The show, hosted by Dr. Drew, left many viewers feeling emotional and able to relate to Houska's struggles.
"Whatever you see on TV and whatever you see when I show up somewhere, there’s so much more that has happened to get me even like… here," she said.
"But it’s treatable, and it gets better," Dr. Drew responded.
"Yes!" Houska said.
"It was so bad and so scary and whatever I thought a panic attack was, I must have been so wrong," she continued. She said she thought she was "dying" and added, "I literally thought I was having a stroke or something."
Fans lit up Twitter with real-time reactions to her confession.
"Watching #TeenMom2 and oh my gods I can’t begin with how much I love@ChelseaHouska and Cole," one wrote. "And hearing Chelsea talk about her anxiety makes me feel so much better about my own. My first few years of college I suffered severe night terrors and still do in times of high stress."
"I'm so happy Cole is so understanding and supportive of Chelsea. So many send hate or negativity because they don't experience it and think she shouldn't have it. Having that support system is so vital and I'm happy he's there," another wrote.
"I love seeing how much Cole supports Chelsea. Not many people understand or try to help those struggling with anxiety," a third said.
"Can we just have a full reunion episode of Cole and Chelsea instead of this trash drama that came after their segment?" a viewer asked.
It seems Houska has gained some new fans, as well. "I have to say I didn’t use to like you. After listening to your podcasts and just watching I have a new level of respect for you," one wrote.
