'Teen Mom' Star Amber Portwood Speaks Out After Avoiding Being Thrown In Jail

“Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood is speaking positivity to her fans days after scoring a huge victory in court.

The reality star took to social media posting a throwback with longer hair. She wrote, “Wanting my hair back..should have never cut it off. Everyone keep your head up and sending all my love❤”

Portwood shared a recent snap of her shorter hair captioned, “The aftermath of cutting it..anyways keep persevering through all of these hard times/nights and goodnight sweethearts❤🙏”

Earlier in the week, the reality star shared words of wisdom from Keanu Reeves (allegedly). The quote read, “Every struggle in your life has shaped you into the person you are today. Be thankful for the hard times, they can only make you stronger.”

She wrote to fans, “Sending love everyone❤🤲❤ Ok hopefully I get a couple more hours of sleep without waking up 5 times a night. Hard night but I will always push through. Just praying🙏.”

Portwood’s attitude seems to be in good spirits days. All this coming days after she reached a plea deal in her domestic violence criminal case.

More Evidence Added To Amber Portwood's Domestic Violence Case

The “Teen Mom” star was facing up to a year behind bars for an alleged attack against her ex, Andrew Glennon.

Per the plea agreement, the reality star entered a plea of “guilty to Count 1 Domestic Battery (Level 6 Felony) and was sentenced. She was sentenced to 2.5 years of Probation (906 days).

She can only leave the state of Indiana for work and has to get approval otherwise.The reality star will also have to finish 26 weeks of court-ordered parenting classes, submit to mental health evaluation and treatment along with a substance abuse evaluation. She will complete a batterer’s intervention program.

Portwood will have to take random drug tests whenever her probation officer requests. She will submit to a minimum of one test per month.

The judge ordered she is to not have contact with Glennon. The only provision for communication is when it comes to talking about their one-year-old son. The two can speak when arranging custody and visitation.

The situation stems from an incident where Portwood allegedly pulled a machete on her baby daddy. The reality star was charged with domestic battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and a felony domestic battery.

After Portwood’s arrest, Glennon sued her for paternity and custody. He wanted to have primary custody with her having supervised visitation. Glennon originally asked the court for permission to move to California with their son. Portwood objected to the request demanding her kid stay in Indiana. He would eventually drop his motion to move outside the state.

Portwood and Glennon reached a temporary deal where he will live in Indiana until a decision is made at a future hearing.

Prior to her sentencing, Portwood spoke to fans on her Instagram. She wrote, “Love you guys and please smile through all the pain. It will be ok one day! Sending love always no matter what🙏”
